They Let Me Die

Lying in the dark,
One gloomy dark day,
Crying alone in the corner,
Hating that life has to be this way.

My parents fight,
I pick up a knife,
Close my eyes,
And feel the pain.

The blood pours out,
As does my soul,
I see the blood,
Dark blood red.

They saw me,
But then they left,
Left me here,
Here to die.

I’m alone,
They all hate me,
No one cares,
They let me die.

My heart is gone,
I feel no more,
All I know,
Is they let me die.

They let me die,
Didn’t try to help,
It’s all their fault,
They left me here.

They broke my heart,
Ripped it to pieces,
Tore my soul,
They didn’t care.

They knew they hurt me,
They knew my pain,
But no one cared,
It’s always the same.

Now my time is gone,
I’m fading away,
I’m slipping in the darkness,
Because they let me die…
