I remember our young and carefree days.
With you little brother and your naive ways.
You admired me I was your closest friend.
We played together as if it would not end.
During those days we worried about today.
Never worrying about tomorrow in anyway.
Our dreams we expected would come true.
On one of those days simply out of the blue.
We could not know how our lives would be.
You served in Vietnam war most honorably.
You came home to no fanfare nor a parade.
Some people didn't respect what you gave.
Many years later you became terminally ill.
Your contact with agent orange would kill.
Cancer was in your lungs and near the heart.
You suffered terribly from the Chemo in part.
God took you to heaven to stay for eternity.
I will join you someday if God wants it to be.
You no longer have the pain nor the cancer.
You're young and healthy God's the answer.
