Thank You

Thank you for all your support,
For always standing by my side.
For being able to read and understand,
All the emotions I tried to hide.

Thank you for doing all those little things,
That you were never required to do.
You can't imagine how much I appreciate,
All the sweetness that lies inside of you.

Thank you for not telling me lies,
And for not sugar-coating the truth.
For believing in me when I felt like a failure,
And everyone else was being so cruel.

Thank you for showing me a love I never knew,
Even if it was a love that was tough.
For teaching me to learn from my past,
And break away from a life that was so rough.

Thank you for being that shoulder to lean on,
Each time I had to break down and cry.
For encouraging me to never give up,
And nudging me to give it another try.

I'm so grateful to have you stick by my side,
Despite all the ignorant things I do.
But above all else, I want to thank you,
For loving me as much as I love you!
