Some old thing I wrote for high school
The trees stand tall with their intertwined branches,

I sit on their fallen leaves as I gaze.

The trees are comfortably rooted in the soil,

While I am recklessly abound above ground.

The trees forever keep in constant touch,

When I’m having trouble being in touch with reality.

The trees are budding with rapturous vigor,

As I sit blankly staring, inanimate.
