This is an article about my writing experience in a creative writing class |
The Creative Writer Taking the creative writing class allowed me to express my personal writing ideas, and explore the my personal relationship with G'd which unveiled whether or not my ideas are in collaboration with what He said. One example of me being able to express my personal writing ideas in the creative writing class is when I wrote a poem about being a Muslim woman accepting barriers that separates women and girls from men and boys. I was able to voice how I adore the idea of separation, and that it's better for me. Another example, is in:"I Don't want to be a Hijabee!" and II, I expressed the challenging aspect of being a Muslim woman while facing much turmoil and hatred towards Muslims and Islam, and verse versa. Being that I witnessed undeniable accounts of negative publications and talks from individual/s, groups, newspapers, magazines, television, the internet, etc., it had an affect on me and my children who are humble Muslims. However, my works allowed me to put my feeling on paper, explore my fears, anger, love, compassion and faith. In the article "Where I Fit in?" is the final material I submitted to the class, because of unforeseen circumstances arose beyond my control. Despite the obstacles I see before my eyes, and the ones that are hidden, I pray that I continue to utter on my tongue, even on my deathbed, "I bear witness that there's no god but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger."
