Doubt
Bryce Johnson
Doubt grips my mind with sticky fingers stretching from the mouths of others. When they tell me things of worry and regret they themselves have experienced in the past. I love humanity, the great and terrible things that have been done, past, future, and present, but I sometimes wish they would stay out of my head with their cunning and hurtful words. Especially when it has to do with the person I say I love and mean it when I say it. If their worries do turn out to be true then they do, but true or false I am the one who must deal with them. I love humanity, yet I wish they would sometimes leave me alone for these sticky and gross feeling fingers latch onto my brain like unwanted leeches to skin.
