Why do I yearn for him,
Why do I cry at night for him,
Is it because he’s gone,
Because I had him,
But let him go,
On a foolish impulse,
A foolish whim,
Because the memories we made,
Were happy,
Because he made me feel wanted,
Loved,
Cherished,
And now that he’s gone,
I feel dead,
Broken,
What’s this emotion I feel,
The feeling,
Of wanting,
Wanting what’s gone,
Is it because the one I love,
Is dead,
Destroyed,
Morphed,
Anew,
Into someone new who’s not the one,
Not the one who stole my heart?
