Why Do You Hate Me

You yell, scream, and holler,
I feel smaller and smaller.
I then ask the hardest question,
Why do you hate me?

I can’t do anything right in your eyes
You are unable to accept my tries.
I am constantly forced to wonder,
Why do you hate me?

I am second though I am first,
It seems you always do your worst.
I know you feel it is your best,
But why do you hate me?

Do you hate me?
Or are you trying to teach me
The right way to be?
As my mother you do your job in love,
So why does it always seem you hate me?

We get angry to show our love,
Love is harsh sometimes.
