Here's a poem about being healed. |
She lifts her head from the Tearstained pillow And frantically tries to calm her Wild thoughts. They do not wish to be Tamed tonight. She rememberes the day he decided That she was worth throwing pebbles, And mournfully ponders the day he Changed his mind, And the haunting silence of the windowpane. Her knees hit the floor. The trees ourside cry tears of Amber and Gold As late September steals their life. She tries quietly to return To the past. Once again she sees the Green of his eyes, Feels his lips on her forehead, As he whispers the words She longed to hear. Now, Kneeling in agony at her bedside, She is broken. She looks up to the lonely window, And shudders as she now Tarries on the memory Of physically feeling her heart Breaking in two, As he said, "Goodbye." And drove away without looking back. While she stood on the doorstep, Shattered. She realizes her heart is now Shattered. Like broken glass. But now, She takes a shard of her Shattered Heart and allows him to have it, Bids him to take it and go. She lifts her head Away from her tearstained knees And stands up. She calmly gathers her fluttery thoughts, Along with the pieces of her heart From the floor, Missing one, Of course. Now she quietly opens the window. The cool Autumn air begins To heal a Shattered Heart. |
