Unspoken Lies

It was over before it began
But we didn’t realize
All of the dreams that we never shared
Are tangled in unspoken lies
Nothing turns out quite as planned
Life sometimes gets in the way
We’re fumbling through blindly
Discovering truths that somehow got lost on the way
And every day starts out a new
With hopes for a rainbow to show
Through the darkness and clouds
The sun shining down outlining what we clearly know
