Jimmy's campfire coffee. The best, |
Jimmy’s Campfire I see Jimmy around the campfire, He’s boilin’ up his brew Makes the best damn campfire coffee, That a cowboy ever knew Cold mornings around the campfire, After shakin’ off the dew What a Cowboy needs to start his day, Is a cup of Jimmy’s brew: His smile’s as big as Texas, And God gave him a knack For brewin Prairie nectar, From an old brown leather bag He measures out REAL careful, In his palm, Just two and a half And into fresh spring water, It starts about like that Then once for all the flavor, He takes a pinch of salt And adds therein that magic touch, That brings it to a halt He sets the Pot real carefull On hot coals there in the fire In that special place, that he’s arranged, To watch it for awhile And when the spout starts boiling out, He sets the Pot aside And when the grounds have settled down, It’s time to take a ride By the time he rings the breakfast bell, And it cools for just a bit It’s ready for all the cowboy’s, To grab a cup and take a sip By Augustus Clay |
