A first attempt at a sonnet
Spoke she thus to me "your words are fire".
So responded I, "and your my wick".
While holding close to me with hot desire
She told me that I had her fires lit.
Now knowing all the trouble she'd ignite
As treacherous as any flames could move
I decided I'd her fires fight
Wetting fast the burning of her love
She incessant as she was grew hotter
I a mighty warrior fought her well
Yet no matter how I found I fought her
Still she burned until I finally fell
Thus she hot in heat the battle won
With the very flames that I'd begun.
