Like a deceased hallucination

Like that of a reptiles tongue
And just as venomous
Symptom of a hypnotic trance
Like that of a devil
Or a government official

Bursting heat from a cold vast emptiness
It breathes life and death
Like a feeding wildfire
An example of a balanced parasite
Like a wind of nothiness

A nauseating creation
Beautiful yet horrifying
