My stand on staying free from men
Please hear me and understand

I no longer desire to be worshipped by a man

I'm not coming out or taking an alternative route

I'm just now learning

Love's not what I thought it was about

I started off in search of love with a checklist

I then realized

I was not being realistic

So I settled for common interest

His flaws and shortcomings I agreed to accept

To please my man and be all he desire

I aspired

He walked over me until my love expired

Now here I stand regretting the path that I took

To turn the seven years into a positive

I gotta write a book

My love life is now on hold

cause his love's got me shook

My goals and the life I'm suppose to have

Only come second

To my kids not a man.
