AND I CRIED

And I cried,
I don't need you
And he whispered,
But I need you
And I cried,
Leave me alone
Again he whispered,
I cannot turn my back on my own
And I cried,
I can do this by myself
And he said,
With me, you need no one else
Then I cried,
I am so afraid
He again whispered,
I will be with you each and every day.
I cried,
Jesus, please show me the way
He said,
Just listen to the words I say
I cried,
Jesus, I have always loved you
He smiled and said,
Child, I already knew.
