There is a secret thread that makes us friends,
Turn away from hard and painful lies,
Turn away from cold and hurtful eyes,
That speak of other important ends.

There are two hard yet tender hearts that beat,
Takes always my hand at special times,
Takes always my dark and precious rhymes,
