Friendship is knowing the full joy of giving
Helping each soul to find the riches of living.
Granting companionship again and again,
Giving out daily along life's rough terrain.

Friendship gives fulfilment in so many ways,
Turning quite lonely hours into bright happy days.
When helping a friend who is lonely and down,
Thus bring out smiles, where there once was a frown.

Friendship is walking down a quite endless road,
And then helping a friend, by sharing their load.
Making them feel that they are in good care,
Walking in faith when they know you are there.

Friendship is working to one just accord,
Really working together without thought of reward.
Hands reaching out to our friends in distress,
And trying each day, to bring some happiness.

And if friendship is in us throughout every day,
And given to all, as we go on our way.
We may then really feel that indeed we are blessed,
To have met every challenge and given our best.
