O dear Alarm Bell,
I know you know me,
Much too well.

You know just when the time is right,
But that is when I am sleeping tight.

You know that examiners don’t extend the time,
Had it not been for you, I’d still be in Class IX.

You know about the boss’s wrath,
If I’m late again, he’ll show the path.

I know it’s the apt moment you spell,
If I don’t budge now, I’ll see the hell.

But please don’t break my “oh sweet” dream,
Five minutes more and I’ll be the queen.
