My Writer's Block

I’m having troubles thinking

Trying to get my words out

I keep writing them down

Then deleting them off the page

I don’t know what to say

Or express how I feel

About the love of my life

That I can no longer be with

Anger comes to mind

Then sadness and more anger

Depression is the pit

That my life has fallen into

I wish I could climb out

And bury my pain in that hole

Say goodbye to my old love

Keep my heart open for a new

Again I’m having troubles thinking

My words never sound right

Maybe I’ll delete them again

Before I lie down tonight
