A tribute for the heroes of the Philippine revolution
You see his face was distorted
Driven by passionate hatred
His eyes with bitter tears
Showed no sign of fears

A gun on the left and a dagger on right
Gripping until he’s bleeding
No weak of heart in sight
All of them fighting for what’s right

Hundred fists in the air
They will do whatever they dare
Voices shouting for freedom
Everything will do even martyrdom

Fires and the dead everywhere
A sight no one could ever bear
But what’s a few lives lost
But for a freedom they await the most

Generals, commoners and children
Hand in hand asking when
When will be the war’s end?
And the wounds to be mend?

Mothers on the fields
Crying over the perished sons
And much more guilds
Do not cry for we will remember the sacrifices

Oh bloody days given
For our young men and women
By those strong brave hearts
your memories now are this isles’ part

Dear souls rise now
For freedom that you promised will reglow
See the sun rising in the east
Our only home the pearl of the orient.
