Once, there was a boy named Buck
Who filled his mind with lots of yuck,
But everybody thought him wise,
Much to his profound surprise!
Buck’s main hobbies were reading and cars,
Fiction and authors, his biggest stars,
While in his yard, he’d fix old clunkers,
Ordering parts for those tossed-out junkers…
But Buck’s true mindset involved imagination,
And these hobbies offered him celebration,
They transported him to unheard of places,
Inspiring adventures in wide-open spaces…
His friends would gather to hear him talk
In his clouded reverie, but he wouldn’t balk,
Sharing his thoughts on what he was reading,
And the fixed-up autos in which he was speeding!
All his relations kept exclaiming “God bless!” –
They truly admired his creativeness.
Buck’s hobbies were his bright spot, for sure,
While doing them with others, he mustn’t endure…
We all felt Buck had paid his dues,
And was fortunate to be wearing those shoes.
Folks can be such a serious breed,
But we all thought Buck was lucky, indeed...
