Glitter Drip

Glitter Drip

The water of my hourglass
                                drops reluctantly
                for fear of drowning.
My nose is burning,
      it's yearning
            with the scent of
  orange dust
                singed on
          sneakers;
and my body blows away
                        in glitter, litter,
          leaves and ash.
So that water,
                          that glitter,
              that litter,
                  those leaves,
          dust and ash
                          might just
                  grow again
                              into a breathing
                                                  fountain.
