The Lost Prince

In the Dark corner of the alley sat a man, once a man of power, now a shell of his former self. I walked up to him and he greeted me, but the love he once had was no longer there. He was sitting drinking two beers with a Bottle in each hand. I sat next to him, his name was Jerry and he was my brother at least he used to be, before he became what he is now, a lost drunk man.
“How’s it going Bro” I asked although I knew that his world was falling apart.
“I’m doing good” he said, with tears in his eyes.
“Bro, I can’t believe you’re here! You were a Prince, heir to the throne! You were so close to getting the crown you could taste it! How could you give up! You had so many things to look forward to.”
“It’s easy for you! You never have any problems! The king is always giving you everything handed to you; you’ve never had to go through the hard tests life hurls at me”
“I have problems bro, just like you but there is a difference, I don’t quit.”
I got up to leave, I was angry and frustrated, and darkness was devouring my heart like a hungry lion devours its prey. Before I left he asked “Aaron wait, how can I go back, I betrayed the king, I betrayed my father for crying out loud!”
“Jerry your father is waiting for you, he is even giving out a reward of 1 million Pounds to whoever finds you!
“Really? You wouldn't Joke about this would you?” He said with a gleam in his eyes.
He took the beer bottles and launched them towards the moon, for he was finally free.
