I told you to be strong
To not listen to what others say
I told you to be wise and smart
And that way everything would be okay
When you were sad
I tried to make you smile
And when you asked about me, I lied and said, "Fine"
Although, I was crying all the while
I just want you to know

I tried to take my own advice
