Found What I'm Looking For

I walked a thousand mile

Barefooted on the beach

Trying to find what I was looking for

And always coming up empty handed



The ocean waves whisper to me

But I can never make out what they are saying

I keep searching and searching

The seashells roll up on the beach



They keep looking at me with a questioning stare

Always coming and going

Just like everything else



Now it has been a million miles

I come to a part of the beach

It’s completely deserted

But something happens

Now I am no longer looking

I have finally found what I am looking for
