my mommy always told me since report card one
son, ya need a good woman to get things done
and it didn't seem to matter just what I do
please help me momma I can't find my shoe

well, time went on and so did my friends
another year in seven, will it ever end?
I could drive to school and had a beard
they moved me on to high school,

well I met Cindy Lou at the Christmas dance
she looked mighty fine and needed some romance
so we decided to go to heaven in the back of my Dodge
now I'm working 50 hours at the Moose Head lodge


when I get home from that graveyard shift
I'm greeted with more work and a honey-do list
So I get out the mop and slave away until ten
And when I get to my Cindy, she's all tucked in

morning comes early around this old place
three kids for breakfast and we're running late
so I walk em down the road to the old bus stop
and when I get back, Cindy's still not up!!


there's a moral to this story, but I'm too tired to say
so just ask Cindy, who's been sleeping all day
life ain't easy when you do the work for two
but then again my Cindy knows what to do :)
