Falling

I'm falling.
All around me people watch,
As I spiral down and down.

I have fallen.
I lie on the floor,
As they stand overhead.

I break.
I cry and shiver,
As the need devours me.

I cry.
The world crashes down around me,
As my pain grows.

I breathe.
I breathe in the fresh air,
Of the new day before me.

I Quit.
I quit the falling,
I quit the crying.

I heal.
I let my friends help me up,
and out of my spiral.

I heal.
I stop my crying,
I start my singing.

I find strength.
I sing,
I sing to heal myself.
