"Swing Set"

One special moment
Caught clearly in time,
Blue eyes laughing
In the star light.

Slowly we swing
Back and forth in the night,
She squeezes my neck
And holds on tight.

Hanging suspended,
High and then low,
The moon up above,
The earth down below.

My childs laughter
Floats on the breeze,
It makes leaves dance,
The rhythm of trees.

My compadre, my friend,
My partner in crime,
My daughter so loving,
So tender and kind.

The love of my life,
my heaven on earth,
My sweet baby girl,
My dear Kaylee Brooke.

She squeezes my hand
And says with a smile,
"Your the best daddy
In the whole wide world."
