Tiny Daggers

His words tore through my heart like tiny daggers, piercing a million holes into my already broken heart. And there’s nothing I can do. I cry. I pray…I pray that I’m enough for him. I pray that he’ll somehow see past this bullshit, this exterior.  I don’t think my heart would ever recover if he walked away right now. I can only imagine how many tiny daggers would pierce my soul - my very existence, if he did walk away. 
I looked at him.

“Please don’t.” I said.

I heard the door close louder than it ever had closed before.
