A girl fighting the ideas that roam in her mind.
Once a week, is all it took to keep me from going insane.
A weekly visit and I can go back to normal.
I wonder how that felt?

He always starts the session all the same. I would be dragged into his office by my ever loving mother, I give him one look and he would say, "Good morning Annabelle."
I seriously thought it was hilarious that he remembered my name. I wonder how much it costs for my mom to give me private sessions with Mr. Pain-be-gone. I personally don't think that there is anything wrong with me, but then again who is going to listen? I don't think that people who are paid to listen to you really give a damn.
He would go on and on about what goes on about his life, to make me talk. But I never said a word, never opened my mouth. Though I did listen to him, I look at him square in the eyes. I would blink between every few words that he said. Then before I know it, I'm lead back into the arms of my mother. She dragged my limp body into the passenger side of the red car, and she walked around to get to the drivers side. Before starting the car, she looked at me and said,

"Why are you still acting like this? You really think that being silent is going to make a difference? He's gone Annabelle, trust me, he doesn't want you and he certainly doesn't want me."

I may listen to Mr. Pain-be-gone, but I stopped listening to my mother a long time ago. I think I'm just really tired of hearing what she has to say.

Are you hating that I'm gone?

"You go back to school tomorrow, what kind of impression do you want to make in front of you friends. The Thornton women stand up straight, tall and proud. Please tell me that you will at least make a good first impression?"

She looked at me, closed her eyes and started the car, "At least nod to show me that you care."

I blinked, does that show that I care?
