The horror of loneliness, a short story in poem format
There once was a lady who lived on a hill,
Enraged by her plague, because nobody came,
Her home was lonely and still.

She wanted a guest,so she bought a new dress,
And prepped for a party she planned.
The guest list was large, they would all fit in her yard,
So she wrote the invitations by hand.

She planned for that day, but to her dismay
          No body answered her call,
so alone she just stayed, engulfed by her rage
And the despair of being alone.

As the day turned to the next ,then the week till a year
Her fury was ablaze and her anger grew fierce.
So she plotted revenge and went back to the pen.
Surely someone shall come,  even if only one, on this my life depends

Only one showed up to that party to be
I knocked on the door and she answer with glee.

Her smile was wide as I stepped inside, into her humble abode
The pictures inside gave proof to the fact ,that she was forever alone

I asked for the others she laughed into the air,
Oh my dear sir, as u will concur,
          Nobody else is here.

For ages I've been here alone, never to be seen
And now that your eyes have laid upon mine
          You may never leave

She went for my throat and before I could blink
Her teeth had sank into my neck, while we stood by the sink.

Don't worry my new friend, the pain shall soon end,
And when it does, you'll thirst for blood,
Oh we shall never be lonely again.
