What We've Become

We started as bestfriends, next we became lover. Gradually we combined the 2 and became a family. Somehow along the way we grew into husband and wife under false pretences, within the eyes of god. In the eyes of the world, who's to say we're wrong for continuing on?  The love I have for you is strong but my place in life is being compromised as well as my security. Who's to say we will never have our day? Our living arrangements gets harder and harder each day.

When I started to love you I should have aready known you. When i first kissed you I should have buckled an grab hold of my heart. O no now i'm told to hold on; have faith be strong. You have to remember the devil's busy. Yet my mom told me to do all those things and still remember, mama ain't raise no fool. You know what feels right in your heart and soul. My response to this was that I do know whats right in my heart and soul; What's right is YOU! All the rest is up to him.
