The Many Ghosts of Gold Hill

This story is about a ghost of a widow, the widow's murdered daughter, a dead detective, a murderer, and a half-spirit. It starts by giving the legend of the four ghosts of Gold Hill, and then we meet Thomas, a young man who can see ghosts and later meets the ghosts of Gold Hill, and later becomes one himself.
