What happens when love goes bad. |
A haze of red settled over my eyes when she walked in the room. There she was, Emily, blond bombshell, a singer beyond compare... and a world-class bitch. I had had a crush on her for the entire year, untill I found out she hated my guts. Ever since then, I hadn't even talked to her. But now that we were finally alone, I had a few choice words for her. My body moved almost without me telling it to; standing up, walking up to her, and clenching my hands into fists. "Emily." She turned around and for a brief second, a look of disgust flashed in her eyes, to be replaced by false happiness. "What's up, Scott?" My mouth twitched into a smirk. "As if you didn't know." She looked confused. "I don't understand." My teeth clenched hard enough to break them. "Do you understand how you stomped all over my heart? How you led me on like a dog on a leash? Or maybe you're just too stupid to know the difference." Her jaw dropped, like she was actually surprised. "You... What... I don't know what you're talking about. What is up with you?" "What's up with me? I'm up... FED up with you." My hand shot out and grabbed her neck. She struggled fiercely, but I barely felt the blows she landed on me. Suddenly, I let go. she fell to the floor, gasping for breath. "This is a little too easy for me. I think it would benefit both of us if you saw the real me." I reached up to my face and grabbed the skin. Pulling it off my face, I yelled, "Now LOOK AT ME!" Emily looked up... and gasped in horror. My face was now a twisted rictus of pain and scar tissue, covered by a thin film of plastic-like skin. I grabbed at my left hand and pulled the skin off it, revealing long, thin claws twisting into an otherwise human hand. My right hand streched into a long pincer, my back arched, black spines pierced my skin, and all the while, Emily lay on the floor, gaping at me. My transformation complete, I towered over Emily, white slime dripping from my mouth. "Well, NOW we can get down to business." I hissed. The red haze settled over my eyes again as I reached down, so the only hint I had of what was happening was the screams. |
