It's not a formula, it's a relationship.

It's not a formula, it's a relationship. Everywhere these days, one can find a formula for success, for personal growth, for spiritual growth, for prosperity, for divine health. Google the words  “5 steps to” and see how many results you get.. I just did it and Google gave me  38,200,000 in 0.19 seconds. Here is a sampling of what I found:

  ♦          5 Steps to Fighting Stress  

  ♦          5 Steps to Improving Fitness  

  ♦          5 Steps to a Clearer Mind  

  ♦          5 Steps to Spiritual Success  

  ♦          5 Steps to Kick Student Debt  


The world is looking for direction. What did JESUS say about this? His instructions were to “seek first the kingdom of GOD and all these things will be added unto you.” How do we do that?

This would be a good place for me to insert some kind of formula, wouldn’t it? Something like: “5 Steps to Seeking First the Kingdom of GOD.” Well, you won’t find that here because it is not a formula, it is a relationship!

God has set things up in such a way that we need Him to proceed. It is through a relationship with Him and fellowship with Him that we find our way. Without Him, we actually find nothing of value.

How do you seek the kingdom of GOD? You ask Him each day when you talk to Him. How do you find success? You ask Him each day when you talk to Him. How do you know what to do with your life? You ask Him each day when you talk to Him.

I guess perhaps that is a formula of sorts: Seek Him and, when you seek Him with your whole heart, you will find Him.
