A Burst of Joy

She sat closest to the door
with a heart full of hope
and a feeling of anxiousness
running thru her entire body
The better part of herself
soon to arrive after a long
time away fullfiling his duty
Suddenly the low rumble of
opening hanger doors
and a parade of pride marches in
seeking the reason why he does
what he does for their country
Guided by their love they find each
other immediately thrusting
into each others arms
Two halves meant for each other
gleefully reunited
And she feels something in her heart
A burst of joy
