In a different world called Miniada, a war between Rings, Marks, and Channelers.
In the land of Miniada, a world parallel to our own, magyick replaces machines. Spells replace wires and the energy that flows within the hearts of the people are the current.
The energy within the core of Miniada can be channeled by the people. But, not every person can channel in the same way.
The most common form is to chant spells and perform rituals. These citizens of Miniada are not as connected to the land as the other channelers.
The Marks are the most in tune with Miniada. They fight for nature and Old Magyick to be preserved and not used for evile. All Marks are born with a unique tattoo to show their heart and body is in tune with Old Magyick.
The final and most powerful form of channeling is Ring channeling. They are the rarest form of channeler. But, with immense power, the need to be in complete control grows. The Rings have a difficult time choosing between using magyick for peace or for their own gain. These channelers form a ring at birth with overflowing magyick. They are the rulers of Miniada as well as the destroyers. This rift caused the Lesser Magyick War.
The Lesser Magyick War was between the corrupted Rings and their followers against the Clear forces. The Ancient Ring warriors Azshlishza of Sapphire, Yarol of Ruby, and Erowaniadil of Topaz were the leaders of the Clear forces, the Primaries, king and queens of Miniada. But, during the war, two of the Five Ancients, Rinithi of Silver and Ionian of Gold disappeared from the war never to be seen again. No one knows how the war started.
The Clear forces were winning in their battle against the Corrupt, but the Corrupt had a plan. They tricked the Chief of the Mark forces to turn against the Primaries and thus the Clear forces being destroyed from the inside. The Chief was killed and caused the once noble Clear forces to hide in the slums of Miniada where starvation and disease led them to be Changelings. Clear they once were, but then falling to the Corrupted ways. Now, the Greater Magyick War has turned the sky red, and the once pure magic of Miniada is used to kill. The forces of the Clear surround the Yellow Citadel, the last true city that is left un-Corrupt, fighting for the survival of all that is good.

Tathaia sat in the one of the trees in the Silver Forest in the shadow of the Golden Mountain, watching as the kids of Lower Miniada play Orbo. Orbo was a game with teams. The teams would try to hit the glass circular orb across clearing using only magic. She watched as her sister, Sonia, laughed and pushed the air, causing a wave of red air to push the orb to her teammate.  The now red orb sailed over to Aienie, Tathaia’s best friend, who changed it to silver as he pushed. Tathaia was only six and every person in Lower Miniada hated her, save Aienie and Sonia.
“I got it!” The biggest boy with a black Mark shoved the air. The orb snapped in two, fading in color as it hit the ground.
“Ugh, Naer! How are we going to find another orb?” Sonia complained, kicking up a rock on the silver leaf covered dirt. It landed in front of Tathaia. She picked it up, placing it in the palm of her hand.
“It doesn’t matter!” Naer grinned. All of the other kids laughed. Sonia’s triple sun Mark flared ruby red in her anger.
“Of course it does! What are we going to play now!?” She shouted back. Naer was four years older than Tathaia, the same age as Sonia. Before Naer could open his mouth, the energy surrounding the forest condensed, causing all the kids to take a deep breath in wonder. The energy swirled around Tathaia’s hand, lifting the small rock in the air. An intense purple was as visible as the red sky or the three suns. Her ring glowed with an unnatural light. The once rock landed in her hand, a brand new orb. But, the Marks were already walking away.
“Why would we want to play with a Ring?” Naer scoffed. Aienie’s swirl tattoo blazed, the wind blew faster in the branches, making his small whistle squeak.
“Why would we want to play with a Corrupt!?” He spun on his heal and swung up on a branch. “Good riddance! Go back to the village! You’re never welcome in my forest again!”
“Hey Guardian of the Forest, what are you going to do about this?!”  Naer touched a new tree, and it crumpled in a black haze.
“No!” Aienie jumped down and ran over to the poor tree.
“You stupid Corrupt morons!” Sonia pushed the air so they were forced to back away. “Get out of here before I do something I’ll regret later!” They laughed, but retreated. The six year old Aienie, took his whistle, and blew softly into it. A silver mist chased away the black, strengthening the tree. He sighed and turned back to the sisters. Tathaia was on the ground, curled up in a ball. Sonia paced back and forth. Aienie walked over to Tathaia and squatted next to her.
“It’s okay. No one will bother you when I’m around.” He whispered. Tathaia looked up, tears sparking in her eyes.
         “Nie.” She smiled.
“I swear, those jerks are such followers. Give them a leader and they flock like Jewel Sheep of the Golden Mountain! When I’m fifteen, I’m joining the Clear Forces and beat some sense into those Corrupt little…” Sonia ranted.
“Sonia, why do people become Corrupt?” Tathaia whispered. Sonia stopped pacing.
“I don’t know sweetheart. All I know is that the darker the Mark or Ring, the more Corrupt.” She said softly.
“Am I Corrupt.” Tathaia asked, looking down at the Ring on her left hand. It was a deep purple amethyst with small diamonds on the side.
         “Nah, Tatty.” Aienie smiled.
“Not you. Never.” Sonia grinned. When her older sister smiled, Tathaia knew that everything would be all right. Because, Sonia was always right.
