I carry them on my back
in my little knapsack
in a tiny locked box
so that no one can see

Ingrained in my memory
I recite them continually
in case they get away
I can get them back again

Emotionally tortured
can’t put a foot forward
questioning every move
It’s my trial to bear

So strong the need
wanting to set them free
Every waking moment
a tortured dream

And proudly unfurl
the secrets of my dreamworld
where my hopes and dreams
have been living under lock and key
