A Shakespearean Sonnet
So fortunate am I to be a man.
Coincidental heritage of birth,
According to some mystic master plan,
Bestows my right to rule upon the earth.

Not as a dove, though it may flitter free,
Partaking of the fruit within the land.
I plunder through the world voraciously,
To steal the wealth from all that I command.

All other life's a step below my own,
A secondary thought within my scheme.
So far from hell I sit upon my throne,
In ignorance of any other's dream.

I rule, till from my bonds, the earth is freed
And I return to be a simple seed.

Sonnet: 14 lines, Shakespearean Sonnet
