a poem to a father who is never satisfeid
You look at me, and you wear your funeral face,
Your disappointment is like a poison in my veins
On your face i see your love slip away.
i wish you could love me.

For your love i kill that of me you so profusely dislike.
For your love i mutilate myself inside
Id change who i am
only to hear that you love me.

You hate who i am,
yet you keep changing the rules.
Keep changing and demanding perfection
All i ever wanted was your love.

Today i looked in the mirror.
I did not recognise the girl staring back.
Today i looked at you Dad.
Today i recognised you for the monster you are.
