This poem is about every day struggles and the decisions we all make.
The struggle of not turning to the right or the left

That sound good, maybe even fun but will it lead us to stray

Away from truth and into darkness

From the light that does now guide us

You seem so nice… Attractive too

But you drink from the cup one should not choose

Could you change into the light for which we strive

To share it with you, may bring the change

Is it purpose or just a lonely heart?

That should not be followed off this straight and narrow path

Not turning to the right or to the left

But just a little fun one night with friends

Out on the town a band of mighty thieves

Out to plight and to destroy that once honored and sacred joy

That extinguished the light that no one sees

And darkness floods from all around

But within there still remains a little flicker

Of the light from the path that stands so straight

And guides us back from the loose stones of the right and the left

To the solid ground on which one should stand

Out of the darkness, once again in the light
