Just a story I have been working on. Just wanted to see what people thought.
[Introduction]
The rage filled me. My skin began to turn black again. Usually I could control it. The wings spread on either side of me. My fangs shone in the firelight behind what I once known as my “father”. I loud growl sound fell out of my mouth between my sharp fangs. The dogs on either side of me began to growling with me. My dark slender body looked surprising healthy after spending almost a year travel in the dark cold weather searching for my once known “family”. Feeding on nothing but raw animals, if my dogs could find any. Just thinking about the flesh made me hungry. I was starving. Is that why I was so anger and why I let my true demon out. The people surrounding me were terrified. After all I was just a very unhealthy looking 18 year old. The wind blew around us and my dark hair flowed in it. I let the cool breeze of the wind calm me as I watched the air around me dance. “I’m sorry,” I whispered very quietly so only the wind could hear me.
“Khaleesi?” a whisper came from behind me. So familiar, the energy was so strong. The anger left me. My normal form came out. My pale skin, unhealthy looking body and my very weak face. A tear caressed me boney cheek and before I noticed I was crying. He stepped forward and set his hand gently on my shoulder, like he was scared to hurt me. Did I look that fragile? I wondered. His face lowered to my ear, “you will always be fragile to me,” he whispered so only me and him could hear. I jumped, “how’d you?” I stopped not sure what to say. I was facing him now the others now behind me. My dogs were still facing the others to protect my back. He was as tall as he always was a good foot above me. He still looked so strong. His dark brown hair was long again, like the first time we met. So handsome I thought again. Another tear ran down my face before I could stop it. He stepped forward to wipe the tear off. I took a step back. “You left me,” I whispered. The whisper was a little shakier than I was hoping for, than the rage started to fill me again. “You left me!” A full on yell this time the tears had disappeared. My wolf stepped in front of me and let out loud barks as I turned back into my demon form, this time by my own will. “I’m sorry,” he called to me over the dogs. “They said it would be best.”
“What! For me to die!” I yelled, the wind around me began to flow and with a beat of my wings, I flew into the air and around them. My dog’s teeth began to show as they growled loudly. There were three of them. The youngest was Argus. A beautiful big, golden lab, Rottweiler, and king shepherd. Next to him was his father, I called him Ajax. He also had Rottweiler king shepherd. And the third was a Siberian husky mixed with wolf. I called him Kevlar. My old family all backed away but got closer together when I took off. My dogs still holding their ground, I stayed in the air watching, waiting. My rage is beyond stopping. “You bastards left me to die! My life almost ended. Lucky for you I was saved by our mother who showed me my true form, my demon form. And I was able to survive. Without it I could have died. And now what can you do? You are not as strong as me.” I called to them. Argus let out a couple barks as Kevlar howled.
“Khaleesi, stop this madness,” Magnus called to me, “we wanted you to be stronger.”
“So I was weak! I could have died out there!” I swooped at him my fangs glaring at him. I got low enough caress his neck. My teeth dug into his throat and with a quick beat of my wings I ripped his neck open. Blood splashed the ground. Magnus screamed in pain as Kevlar lunged at him before I hissed and signal him to stay put. He howled again. I laughed.
“Am I still weak? Look at what you did to me! All of you,” I yelled but as the rage slowed, “A monster,” the words were shaky and a tear fell from my eye. I fell to the ground behind my dogs. The smell of blood was all around. The crowd around Magnus had tried stopped the bleeding.
“I deserved that,” Magnus spoke slowly. His breathing was very choppy.
