The Lighthouse

There is a lighthouse in the distance
But it casts no light,
His useless presence towers over the sea.
He stands to kiss the stars,
But his love remains unrequited.
The lighthouse covets
Marooned bodies, splintered lives,
Treasures of a lonely building.
