Rhyming English can be rough
It makes pronunciation tough
'Cause spelling may not be enough
To try to do it off the cuff
I try to scribe a noble thought
As best I can by how I'm taught
But spelling prowess can't be bought
And often times I end up caught
From tough to though, I've thought it through
I'm bound to end up in the stew
My left brain starts to tilt askew
When rhyming words like queue and roux
So I'm content to hear you scoff
And give that little knowing cough
Right before you brush me off
And send me down that sloping trough
