The Taste of You

I’ve written about many things,
the so called “cabbages and kings.”
I let the prompt take me away;
it always gives me words to say.

“Hot and Spicy” brings to mind
thoughts of a very special kind.
I close my eyes and I recall …
The images hold me in thrall.

I look - and almost like a dream -
I see the soft curves through the steam.
Your skin takes on a rosy glow.
I want to rush but I go slow.

I run my fingers over you,
Each time we meet, it seems so new
and I’m filled with anticipation.
I think of you with adoration.

With teeth I give you little nips
and worship you with trembling lips,
tasting all your tenderness.
Still, I need more I must confess.

As passion mounts, I can’t contain
this desperate need within my brain
to have you. So, with no remorse
I grab you using all my force.

The animal that lies within
revels in your tender skin
until I crest the rising tide.
I slump back fully satisfied.

I’ve written about many things …
and now an Ode to Chicken Wings
