A Nice Day

The sun scuds across a bright sky,
the floating clouds making me want to fly.

I sit on the hill, watching the day,
my skin is warmed by the bright rays.

The grass all around is verdant and green,
the whole world just feels like it's clean.

My life may not be the best right now,
but under no circumstances will I bow.

The day in its wonder gives me strength to go on,
everything around me, letting me know I'm not alone.
