How Can I be a Good Citizen?

                                      Everything Hitler did was legal.


    He was elected by popular vote.
    He passed every law he asked for.
    He had the support of the judiciary.
    He restored the economy.
    He nearly conquered the world.


                                              Was Adolf Hitler good?

    He exterminated 6 million Jews.
    He exterminated any political opposition.
    He started WWW II and 30 million soldiers died.
    He advocated euthanasia of invalids, deformed babies and the mentally ill.
    He refused to be captured and committed suicide.

                  There are volumes of philosophy written on the necessity of good.
                  What I like to ask myself is would I want this man for President?
                 

                                                      No.

      Firstly, my mother was Jewish. So, Hitler would kill me and my family.
      I disagree that Jews are not loyal to their adopted countries.
      Many Jews fought valiantly for German in WW I.
      That's like saying a Catholic can't be President, because he serves a Pope.
      John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a good President. He was Catholic.
      And I was raised Catholic too... I like Zen poetry.

      So. My definition of a Good President is a President, who does not want
      to kill me like Adolf Hitler wanted to kill my relatives.
      Can you dig it?
      I still don't know why my mom was such a big fan of King Aurthur.
      She followed the Royal's wedding closely... The last Zion?

      I digress.
      The most important thing any American citizen can do is vote.


                                            Register to Vote!

      That's how you effect change in a government.

      Okay. I think I avoided the question of Good vs Evil.
      "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
      That covers it!
