... A return, a change and a new beginning? Okay so the last one isn't that easy...
=/= It was almost surreal for her to be back home, if it still could be defined still as home- her abrupt , near on year absence could always say otherwise but nonetheless she was back. Back home where egos were unequalled and a meal wasn’t quite complete until it was supersized 4 times and came with a diet coke. She had missed this place, almost as much as a hole in the head- and she’d had no shortage of those over the years.
It was still a mystery why she’d returned even to her- it wasn’t the bright lights that drowned out the stars or the dollar signs that had so carelessly replaced common sense. Maybe it was the passion that ran through the veins of those around her, the mixture of styles that seemed to collide almost effortlessly or the characters that still managed to be larger than life in a world where the internet knew what your next move was before you did =/=

=/= Sure the U.S had held some of her greatest moments and memories of her career- a career based around blood, passion and unadulterated violence but somehow things had taken a wrong turn down the line as politics began to take precedence over talent and those who’d work their asses off from day dot were merely just another face unless of course they knew whose pocket they had to get into. Some of those around her had succumb to the temptation and been ‘bought’ like corporate sluts, willing to jump through hoops in the hope it’d bring them one step closer to glory.
In the end she’d had done the one thing she’d sworn never to do, she fled.
Okay, so fled sounds like a cowardly word, consider it more so that she’d disappeared to a place where the problem she had faced in the U.S weren’t nearly as much as a problem and she could continue doing what she’d loved.
She’d returned to the land of the rising sun. =/=

=/= However her leaving didn’t come without sacrifice- she’d left everything that had ever meant anything behind. She’d put her ute away in storage, sold her house taking with her only the belongings she felt she truly needed, she’d even left Becky behind.
That probably hurt the most.
Becky, her now 15 year old protégé was as close to family outside of the CWF that she’d had in a long time- it tore her apart knowing that she’d left Becky without so much as a goodbye. It was supposed to be easier that way.
Now for some reason she’d come back- back to a place that she hoped had forgotten about her, where she could remain a fond yet distant memory- she still wanted to wrestle but she wasn’t ready. Not yet. =/=

********************************************************

=/= Within days of her return to the U.S she’d found a 2 bedroom apartment on the bottom floor of a block, not far from her old house, to rent and had tried to make this new place home. She’d gotten her ute and few items of furniture out of storage and moved her few precious belongings into her new place after dark, hoping that none of the other tenants would recognize her.
It wasn’t much but it was home, or at least tried to be.
This was going to be her new start.
That night she didn’t sleep, as like many nights she stared at the ceiling almost waiting for the answers to all her questions just drift by and wondering if making a new start was possible or if she was merely dreaming while wide awake.
Dawn arrived all too quickly, light creeping through the window above her bed and across the covers that lay crumpled on the end of the bed. Angel sits with her back to the window as the light tries to embrace her but she didn’t stir from her vigil of staring at a piece of carpet in front of her.
This was meant to be the beginning of the rest of her life but everything just felt the same...
She’d have to change that. =/=

*******************************************************

=/= It was always difficult for her to even walk down the street, especially in Dallas, its not so much she didn’t like the fans cause she did but if she wanted to get shit done it was much easier to not have to stop every 2 minutes to answer obvious questions. The trick was always not to disguise... Sounds like the worst thing possible but those who went out of their way to disguise their identity always stood out more.
Walking down a crowded street she kept her head low, her sunglasses firmly pinned to her face and her jacket pulled in tight, not because she was cold but to disguise her seemingly well known figure- perhaps this day everyone was too busy with their own lives to notice who walked among them, or maybe they just didn’t give a fuck anymore.
To her it didn’t matter, soon enough she’d be relevant again- whether she liked it or not- whether it was from wrestling in the states again or for something more macabre like an overdose or horrific car accident claiming the life of yet another young star.
For the moment however it was time for change.

As she took a sharp right turn down a side mall she knew she’d found her destination and with a deep breath she stepped inside... =/=

********************************************************

=/= From a side mall to a crowded Dallas street no one had seemed to notice- mission accomplished. You didn’t have to change everything about yourself to become almost unrecognizable- for those who had seen her for so long they’d struggle to notice her now. Amid the rest of the population she wandered, knowing this was the new beginning she’d dreamt of. One of her most recognizable features- her long, dark, usually multi-coloured locks were now barely grazing her shoulders with just some blonde streaks at the front breaking up the dark chocolate colour she’d chosen.
A new look. A new life. Same bitch. Back to paradise=/=
