Rose

Rose (2011)

It started out as a bud so small;
Glancing at your gentle slow strides across the high school hall.
Hands clamped came later as the small bud inflated.
The flower eventually blossomed when we mated.
But that dividing difference brittled the rose to nothing but dust.
