My first break-up hurt. A lot.
The curtain closes
On that beautiful sunset.
Keeping my chin up
As I walk away from you.

I was so confused.
I should’ve looked back, I know.
Shouldn’t have left you,
But I felt so insecure.

The lies always hurt.
Why were they necessary?
But they didn’t hurt
The way I hurt you that day.

I’d take it all back
For you to hold me again.
The hurt that I gave,
I would kiss it all away.

Now to you I swear
I’d do anything for us.
But I was too late
Discovering how I felt.

Now you’re over me.
You have found another girl.
Just come back to me
I beg alone in my dreams,

Lost in a web of regret.
